IFA 2023: Yeelight Introduces Two New Matter-Compatible Smart Lighting Options
Yeelight is known for its unique and fun smart lighting solutions for a smart home. And the company is introducing even more options at IFA 2023. We’ll take a look at all the new additions.
Two New Matter-Enabled Products
First up is the new Beam RGBIC Light Bar. That’s a dual-light combination preferably placed on a tabletop.
The second new product is the Obsid RGBIC Light Strip which is a charcoal-colored addressable light strip made to stick on surfaces like a desk or cabinet.
No pricing or availability information was announced for either product.
Both of those products, like other lighting options introduced by Yeelight in 2023, are compatible with the Matter smart home that officially launched in 2022.
If you don’t know Matter-compatible products can be used with any of the major smart home platforms including Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Home. That can make creating a smart home easier for users as they don’t have to be locked into a certain ecosystem and lineup of products.
An Improved Yeelight Station App
A number of improvements are also in store for the companion app, Yeelight Station.
Arriving in October are new AI-driven learning and generated lighting effects in the Graffiti Studio. That feature will be available for all Yeelight products.
The app will also add more features to the Yeelight Cube Smart Lamps. Available in three designs, modular cube lamps are designed to bring some flair to your desktop. We previously reviewed the unique Matter-compatible system and enjoyed all the fun configurations available.
Cube users will soon be able to see real-time fan counts from YouTube and Twitch.
