How does smart lighting work?
Depending on the model: some connect over Wi-Fi with no hub, some use Bluetooth that needs a gateway (see the Yeelight Skylight guide), and some support Matter. Control is usually via the Yeelight app (plus other apps on some models), and many models also work with voice assistants such as Alexa and Google Assistant.
